At work today, my colleagues were teasing me a little, saying that I got married without really knowing my husband. Asking me how I knew he was the right one.It is almost unheard from in our culture to get married without "dating".It is almost like buying a car and not taking it for a test ride first.
I had to do a little explaining.Inshallah ,I hope I was able to make them understand.
I explained Istikhara and how I believe in the complete reliance on the Divine Wisdom and Knowledge of Allah.
Most people fail at whatever they attempt because of an undecided heart.
Should I? Should I not? Go forward? Go back? Success requires the emotional balance of a committed heart. When confronted with a challenge, the committed heart will search for a solution, the undecided heart searches for an escape. A committed heart does not wait for conditions to be exactly right. Why?? Because conditions are never exactly right. Indecision limits the Almighty and his ability to perform miracles in your life. He has put the vision in you --- PROCEED. To wait, to wonder, to doubt and to be indecisive,for me, is to disobey Allah.
Second is my response to a sister that told me that she thinks there is no one out there for her.No man fits the mold she has dreamed of for a husband.I told her that his love for Allah should be an indicator of the kind of husband he will be.
"Finding the right person is very hard and very wrong.....it is best to be the right person for the one you chose and start from there...
You'll always end up disappointed when you set standards and define a "right person" for you...and don't rush things....because somewhere somehow Allah is preparing somebody for you."
You can never be perfect...the person you love can never be perfect.....that's why we have marriage it's a bond not only between you and your loved one....but foremost for the sake of Allah. Relationships fail not because he's not the right person....it's because we expected too much and we decided on our own......you may call it waiting time....but while you are waiting...pray.
Let Allah guide you always...He knows better. No, He knows best."Allah's delays are not Allah's denials."
